Wild RosesShe stood by the gravestone, the wind frolicking with her hair. It whispered in her ears and danced across her skin. She stood without an overcoat, or extra covering of any kind, save for her torn skirt and old blouse.Wild Roses
She watched the flowers, shielded though they were by the gravestone, shudder in the wind. The flowers were dull, half dead and decrepit. Petals that had already been shed flew away on the gusts, calling to mind birds that were long since past their prime.
